Q + A

Why are there two reception locations?

We are so lucky to have friends and family we love in two provinces. We want to celebrate our marriage with everyone without putting the cost of travel on people, so we will be hosting two receptions after our elopement: Calgary, AB & St. John's, Newfoundland.

Which reception party can I go to?

We would love to see you in whichever city makes most sense for you, likely the city we know you from! Guests also are very welcome to attend both receptions if so desired; what a great way to see a new city! Come get Screeched in on the East Coast or see what the wild West has to offer! We suggest keeping an eye on flight prices if you're planning on travelling to attend our reception(s). Please connect with us personally if you're planning on travelling with us!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal/cocktail attire. Wear your dancing shoes!

Food at the Receptions

Appetizers will be served throughout the cocktail hour and speeches, and a delicious late-night snack will be available around 10:30pm. We recommend guests who like a hefty base before a night of partying, scarf down a meal at home before heading to the party.

Drinks at the Receptions

There will be many! We will be hosting an open bar between 6:00pm - 7:00pm during the cocktail hour and speeches! After which, both receptions will have a bar available (with cash, debit & credit) until last call!

Is there a gift registry?

While we appreciate the thought behind gifts, your presence is a gift enough to us! If you'd like to give a wedding gift, we would greatly appreciate monetary contributions to go to our honeymoon fund.

How should I get to the St. John's venue?

In St. John's, please plan not to park at the Well Room as parking is very limited.

How should I get to the Calgary venue?

In Calgary, parking near the King Eddy is available in a public lot located at 724 4 Street SE. Street parking is also available along 8 Avenue SE and throughout the East Village. Please don't drink and drive!
